tow lily

I changed the main image of my blog to match my mood lately. I've had attempts in the past to change it, but I was never succesful. It was simpler than I thought.
Nothing much going on in my life. I missed both classes today because I over slept. Grr, I have to copy the notes from somebody. I hate missing the soil science class, he must have handed to tests back. I think I did ok.
The weather here is becoming really depressing. It was cold and dark with drizzles all day long. Hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day, in both senses of the word!

I have watched Closer. I am obsessed with the movie and this song...

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky
I can't take my eyes of off you

tow fun day

Lately my life has became stuck in a cycle of "classes-work-home." I don't get to see anybody or do anything fun. But saturday turned out to be fun. Rachel's sister came over and we kind of had a girls day of cooking and playing scrabble. Here are some pics:

"Sigara Boregi" It is a type of Turkish pastry thing. Don't know how to explain it! I taught Rachel how to make it.

The winner of scrabble. Rach got 36 points with "AJAX"

CYBORG. That was the winning word of the game.

Angie (left) and Rachel making red potatoes. Yum!! No they are not twins!!

And that's Angie and me. I am not sure why the picture turned out so blurry? Hmm, someone with photo editing skills (read: Alex) help me out here!

After Rachel dropped Angie off, Rachel decided to go on a movie binge. We walked on over to Bongo (our local video store.) To Rachel's delight it was the "Rent two get one free" night. So that is exactly what we did. We watched "Meet the Fockers" Very funny movie, even better than the first. Very good acting. Wouldn't watch it with my mom thou! We also watched "Pink flamingos" Let me tell you people, weird, weird, weird, movie there. I don't recommend renting it, I spent most of the time looking away from the screen.
Now I go back to studying. I have a test in Soil Science tomorrow. Crap what was the difference between carbonation and oxidation. I think they are types of chemical weathering. Better go check it out!!

tow "ready to copy"

I am througly enjoying watching Sponge Bob Store Pants in my bed. Why? Because the test I had on Friday has been pushed back to Monday, so I have free time on my hands. My mom did suggest cleaning my room, but, nah! I also rented "Closer" so I am going to watch that tomorrow. I am not so deep movie watching mode right now. Mmm, I can use a krabby patty right now.
I've been following the hurricane news, it is making me nervous. I keep praying that it somehow diverts its path or something. My new roomate has friends in Houston, and she said that they are already moving out. It took them 6 hours to travel 20 miles. Yup, 20 miles in 6 hours. Sigh, may Allah help them.
Today I've been driving myself and everybody else around me insane with a crossword puzzle. IT is almost done but there is one we couldn't figure out. The new edition is coming out tomorrow so yeah. The clue is "Manicurist's art." 15 letters! Start thinking ppl!!

Sponge Bob: "I'll give you two clues. First "my" and second "name tag."
Patrick: "Umm, can I have another one?"
