tow warm and gooey inside

I think something happens to human brain if it is forced to work beyond its limits. A symptom of that is uncontrollable laughter. I am gna quote Tina on this one:
The first lesson of the night: Never yank your flash drive out from your computer in a hasty rage. You will lose all your files on it. You will be really upset. And it will make me feel all warm and goo-ey inside. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
We were trying to get some work done at the library around 2:30 AM. So this girl starts huffing and puffing towards us. Than she gets pissed grabs her stuff and moves to a different computer. Tina and I go back to work. Five minutes later I notice the same chick desperately talking to one of the computer helper people, cuz she lost the data on her disk. I turn to Tina trying not to laugh "remind me to tell you something later" she goes "me too" and we both bust out laughing! Tina said "THAT MAKES ME FELL ALL WARM AND GOOEY INSIDE" The rest of the evening consisted of cracking jokes about feeling warm and gooey and composing the warm and gooey dance -in the stair case of the library!

That was pretty hilarious! Today was ok. I did one more interview, fell asleep trying to type the damn paper, and ate some lime sherbert. I got home now, finishing up the paper. I am on the last page. Trying to come up with an intelligent-sounding conclusion, not having any luck.
I was at the coffee shop tonight when I wrote this rant:
Ok people, why on earth would you got a coffee shop, ALONE and than talk on your damn cellphone for half an hour?! Yeesh. People come to coffee shops to do some work or socialize with people existing in the cofee shop. If you want to talk on ur damn cellphone how about you go outside, or your own home?!

I am running for the Muslim Student Asso adminstrative officer (eheh I better learn to spell that if I get elected!) The election is on thursday. So wish me luck people!!

I forgat to write the damn nomination thingy. I had to be at the gathering, and work on survey. Well I bought a bike!! I'll post pics when I get a chance. Than tina & I finished the survey rather quick. Rachel picked me up from lib, and turns out that I could haveanother day on the nomination. Elhamdurillah. Today I woke up all groggy because I didn't want to work. But I had a damn paper due tomorow. But than Tina told me our lovely TA decided to grant a day of extension. So now I am happy. I had good food and major doses of cafeine. I am ready to head to the library and work. Oh before I go, I'll post some pics. I'll post some more if I get a chance on the weekend.

tow blog-a-thon

Since I am done with the damn paper, I have miniscule amount of time on my hands before I attempt to write the next wave of papers. I joined the blog-a-thon, which means I am going to be answering questions written for me by another blog. If anyone wants to be interviewed, drop me a line on my tag board. (there are clearer instructions at the end of my answers)

The following questions have been asked by Theresa... (thanks!)

1. ~ (This is a repeat, but it’s my favorite, so you’re getting it too)
Your Fairy Love Goddess graces you with a magical swat on the rump with the Little Red Riding Crop. Once the euphoria subsides, you suddenly have one singularly exquisite talent. Choose from the following:
~ You develop a set of pipes that elevate you to Supreme Hot Chik of all Hot Diva Chiks.
~ You write a novel that makes James Joyce crawl from the grave to bow at your feet.
~ You become the greatest thing to happen to the dance world since Michael Flatley.
~ You create physical works of art that set all the hottest galleries in an all-out biting-scratching-hair-pulling war over you.
~ You grace the stage with stirring dramatic performances that leave devoted audiences breathless with each and every flawless locution.

Which talent do you choose and why?
I would have to go with the art talent. Because I can create my own hours. I would do my art in my time, than pursue journalistic adventures with the spare time. And I have to admit, people fighting over something I produce would be a great boost to self esteem.

2.You are implicated in a serious crime that you didn’t commit. You have no defense and it appears that you will be convicted. A friend suggests that you lay all the blame on someone else. This particular scapegoat is conveniently dead. Do you lie about a dead person in order to secure your freedom? Why? / Why not?
Ugh, though one. I am going to say no, because, well first of all my religion prohibits lying. And I wouldnt' want to dirty up a dead persons name. I would accept it as fate and live with it.

3.You’re a hard working student with a lot of pressure. It seems like there’s never enough time to get everything done. If you were given the flexibility to add hours to your days whenever you had a time-crunch, would you do so? Oh, but there’s a catch. For every hour you use now, you have to subtract two hours from the end of your life. Explain why you would or wouldn’t use this power.
It sounds tempting, but the interest rate is too high. And besides what if that is the moment I become a grandma or something and I die because I used up time to finish some kind of dumb paper? I can't risk that.

4.What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
"Oh please don't put your glasses back on. I love your eyes"

5.A mad billionaire scientist offers you $500,000 if you move to a beautiful tropical island for the next five years. The only catch? … During that time, you cannot see nor have any contact whatsoever with anyone you currently know. What would you do? Why?
Eheheh, HELL YEA!! I would do it for free. I am under so much stress right now, and getting away from it in any way shape of form is good. Especially if it is going to be in tropical island. I would miss everybody, but come on now 5 years isn't that bad. I have been living in the US for almost 7 years now, so I am used to it. I would be concerned bout the scientists intentions thou. If I am going to be some sort of a freak experiment, than no thanks!

Blog-A-Thon Instructions:

It will be my pleasure to interview the next however many people respond to this post who want to be interviewed.

Here’s how it works:

3. Update your blog with your answers to the questions.
4. When you do so, include this same explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same manner.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you’ll ask them five new questions.

tow done paper

mevlut kandili hepimize mubarek olsun

BITTIDE BITTI--- BITTI!!
I AM DOOOOONEE!

Its 2:11 AM and the paper is officially done. Done people I am telling you it's done, ready to be handed in proudly tomorrow (I got an extension).
Now don't think the entries are going to become more interesting. They won't. I have another paper coming up on Tuesday which I will be working on.
I read a study in NY times today. They published the results of this brand new very good study. The findings were people who are overweight live longer than the thinner counterparts! According to the study the overweight ppl had 86,000 less deaths. In related news, CDC announced that they again over stated how many people die from obesity. They first said 400,000 a year. Than knocked it down to 365,00, and now oops it was actually 25,000. Yeesh!
I am excited bout tomorrow ( you know one day I am actually going to look up to see it it is "tommorow" or "tomorrow" or "tommorrow") For J202 I am doing a story on the UW's Marching band. I will be interviewing one of the members of the band. And on friday I will be going to the spring concert. That should be entertaining I bet.
In odd news today, I met the worst bus driver in my 7+ years of bus riding. As UW students we get a bus pass each semester which gives us free rides on the bus. But of course its not really free cuz every student pays $300+ in segregated fees. My roomate lost her bus pass so she made a copy. A bus driver today noticed it and he flipped out. He was like "How long have you been frauding the city, I should call the cops, blah blah blah." You freaking idiot, what do you mean frauding the city?! Yeah if she wasn't a student and had a fake ID, than yeah u better call the cops. But if she is a segregated fee paying student she is not frauding anybody. Grr, seriously people double grr.
It's getting late. Me go sleep. Uh, Alex promised his story is coming up soon, so stay tuned for further details.

which water proof mascaras

A title catches my eye on the MSN hotmail today page, "which waterproof mascaras..." Thats all the information I am given. I contemplate clicking on it. Wonder what if it tell me which waterproof mascara would erase the bags under my eyes that are a gift from my student years. Or maybe it'll tell me which waterproof mascara would stop tears from forming at the right moment. Hopefully a waterproof mascara has been invented that will stop the people's stares and rolled eyes at what is different from them. So I click on it. Well, needless to say it wasn't what I was hoping for, it was just a test on which waterproof mascara is the best. This comment made me grimace,

Product name: Max Factor Stretch and Separate Waterproof Mascara
Claim: Waterproof, smudge-proof, smear-resistant formula. It's safe for contact-lens wearers and it's hypoallergenic.
Tester says: This was truly a great lengthening mascara, though it takes a little longer to set, so make sure you wait for it to dry. I used this mascara every day of my Caribbean vacation. It gave me fuller lashes and didn't smudge or flake once. It took several dabs of makeup remover to get it off.

So, note to self kelebek, on your next Caribbean vacation be sure to pack "Max Factor Stretch and Separate Waterproof Mascara" so your lashes would be full and wouldn't smudge. It ticks me off when women are reduced to the thickness of their lashes instead of their mind and what they can contribute to society. I doubt most man are concerned with how long it takes their eyelashes to dry and how full it looks.

tow library fun

Hey all, rapping at ya from ye old College Library. I am supposed to be writing a web critique but lets say I am less than motivated to do any work right now. I had a pretty ordinary day. Couple of good things happened. They opened a few more spots in J335 (class I have to take to graduate). Also my meeting with the professor went well. I am excited to start working on my senior thesis. I don't think I ever mentioned what I was going to do it on. Well, to give you a clue, you are looking at it! I am going to do a thesis on blogs. I think I am going to look at the social networks of UW-Madison bloggers. It is interesting, because it was because of Downey that I started to blog, and now I am going to work on my thesis with him! I can't wait to get started. Another good news is that Alex agreed to be a guest writer on my blog to share his Turkey travel adventures with you guys! He said he'll e-mail it to me soon, so be on the look out for that!!! Speaking of Alex, did anyone else noticed that my blog is now being correctly capitilized?
Oh and I have to comment on something. Today was cold, rainy, and gloomy. And I want to know why would anybody in their right mind wear flip flops in this weather?! Ok, I feel for those who are just hopelessly optimistic and think that the weather eventually warm up through out the day. But come on, if you are bringing an umbrella with ya, don't wear flip flops. Yeesh!
I have quite a few things coming up that I have to work on. Prayers, duas, good lucks are welcome people. I have to keep my sanity!
I would like to welcome my friend tina
to the wonderful world of blogging!! Here is her ode to J202, "which is designed to demolish all inklings of an incoming journalism student's self-esteem and lead them to believe they are worthless human beings incapable of simple communication skills. Sign-up today!"
There once was a class named J202
that liked to make all of its students blue.
They couldn't get any A's
And it ruined their GPA's
So they quickly gave up and learned kung-fu.

tow effects of mass communication

Ugh, I am so so sick of studying. I decided to take a break and post on my lovely blog. I think I am having blogging withdrawal symptoms people!
I have been waiting till the weather gets nice for sure to wear my flippty floppities (flip flop, terlik). For the past two days its been so warm 60 degrees (15.5 celcius). So, today I finally decided to take out my flippty floppities and wear them. Just my luck, we have a thunderstorm. I was studying at the library and decided to go to a coffee shop to get some caffeine. Let me tell you people stepping into a HUGE water puddle wearing flippty floppities is no fun. The water puddle was freezing cold. The whole way to the coffee shop my poor toes froze from the rain. My cute pants got wet. Here is a pic of my lovely flippty floppities and my poor pants.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Me, Tina, Nick R. and Toni were studying at the library. We did manage to get through the notes. Unfortunately the readings we coudln't finish. So thats what I am about to go back to. Oh, some funny quotes from Nick R. (my favorite opinion editor to be --this has no relation to the fact that I am going to be applying to be an opinion columnist in a few days!)
"Alex? He's like the, what, the 14th smartest person we know! He speaks like six languages"
"I would get tasered for 500 dollars"
"Yes, it is illegal to kill a person"
Ok I guess they are not that funny. You had to be there I guess. Me go back to studying. Prayers, "good lucks", and Duas are appreciated people!

tow coffee everywhre

I had a fun day today. We had a gathering for some turkish coffee. Derya and Jess cooked the coffee and rest of us enjoyed it. Here are some pics.

The coffee getting ready

Jess pouring the coffee, in thirds!

Me!

The room we were in

Rachel and I being goofy after the event.

Than I went to watch Rachel play harp. She played this really awesome, I think it was Jazz, piece. We got some food at my house. I found out that Rachel went to prom!!! We headed to a coffee shop to study. Rachel wanted to use her credit card, but I guess you have to make a $5.00 purchase, so she ended up getting a GIANT coffee. Don't believe me? Here,

Do you believe the size of that thing! She coudln't drink the whole thing so she actually got a smaller cup. The one next to it my regular sized latte!
Tommorow and Wednesday are going to be crazy. I have a test on Thursday, so I am planning on locking myself up in the College Library and not leaving until I got all my lecture notes & the reading answers drilled in my head. So what a fun day I have planned eh? I won't bore ya with details of my studying so I prob won't update until Thursday.
