tow snow storm &lots of pics
hey, its been a while since i rapped at ya (thts a reference to The Onion, my fave satire magazine, incase anybody is wondering!) I had fun in Eid, I changed my mind and went to Milwaukee after all. unfortunaelty most of the guests coudlnt come because of the major snow storm we had over the weekend. I finally manage to gather some money to buy a digital camera, its a cheap one ($30!) but at least it takes pics. My brother and I went out in the snow to play around, so i took some pics. without further ado, here they are...

Around 3 Burcu's family came over. They don't live too far away so they decided to brave the snow and all and get here. Its our eid tradition to go to movies, but our parents woudln't let us drive in that weather, so we stayed home and played bullshit (its a card game) n i won, YEAH! here's us looking cute!
again, its not the best pic in the world cuz of the cheap camera, but hey it did the job.
I am back in Madison now. i bought my books, OUCH!!! i swear they are robbing us! i have so much reading to do, but i dont' really feel like it, so m just procastinating by posting here. but i haven't posted in two days, so i do have an excuse rite!!
One more pic b4 i go, i promised color (not colour :P) a pic wearing my new glasses, so here i am. i really don't like closeups of my face, but nobody in my house seems to take a pic w/ my cheap camera w/o shaking it, so i had to take it myself. n thts not my hair, its a handband tht keeps my scarf in place (i ve brown hair!)

tow eid al adha (kurban bayrami) &burcu's bday!
Eid Mubarak to everyone, no matter wht day ur celebrating it on, its still EID. Eids in US are a lil dry, i missed the eids we had when i used to live in Turkey. but when I was in Turkey i didn't get to go to eid prayer, cuz for some reeason women just don't go to eid prayers. after the prayer i had to go to class. when i got home i took a nap, cuz my next class was at 4:00, or so i thought!!! around 3:30 i checked my schedule to see what room number the class was in, n turns out the class was from 2:30-3:45!!! so i practically ran to the class, it was snowing n slushy outside, caught the prof outside of the class room, got the sylabus n stuff. Man, there is ridiculus amounts of reading involved. but w/ Allah's help, i'll be fine ins. 2morrow i got my first J202 lab, so be on the look out for groans in the future.
One of my close friend's daugher is really sick, she has a kidney infection, please pray for her. Yakin arkadaslarimin kizi cok hasta, bobrekleri iltahaplanmis, cok atesi var, lutfen dua edin onun icin.
Bayramada gittik bugun. burada bayram namazina herkes gidiyor, kadin, erkek, coluk cocuk, butun cemaat orada oluyoruz. bana once tuhaf gelmisti, hic bayram namazi kilmammistim, ama simdi hic garip gelmiyor. biliyorum kadinlara farz deil amma, niye bizde kilmayalim, bize yasak deilki, hemde bayrami kutlamak icin guzel birsey. tow fasting n trip down the nostalgia line
so tommorow is the eid (bayram) where i live, its on friday in milwaukee though. sucks tht ppl can't make up their minds! nothing exciting going on really, prob just go to the eid prayer. i just had discussion for J565 cuz j202 lab was canceled. tommorow i get to go my hist class for the first time, cuz i changed my schedule, now i got history of east asia since 1800, i think its imp for me to know tht hist as well-cuz unfortunalety m cluless. maby color and darkgoddes can help me out-rite girls ;) tommorow is gna b an ordinary day even thou its the eid, maby the MSA ppl are planning something, i should find out about that.

tow ice skating
wow i had a good time today. my friend rachel n i went iceskating. well i woudln't call it iceskating it was more like hold on to rachel for dear life so i won't fall. but i still managed to fall. it was anasty fall too. my foot slipped, n i fell backwards, n smacked my head on the ice. OUCH!!! tht was really really painful, i got a headache for hrs!!! but i still managed to ve fun. my ankles kept twisting but i did manage to slide on ice, but not on my own. maby next time i'll b better. here's a pic of me standing by the "chicken walk" thts what rachel called it. its the thing u wlk on b4 u step on the ice. i had to hold on to the rail so i can stand still long enough for her to snap a pic!
